Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glyph app ("Glyph", the "app"). By downloading or using Glyph, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who we are

Glyph is provided by Thijs Hiemstra ("we", "us", or "our"). You can contact us at support@revisit.gallery.

2. License to use Glyph

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Glyph on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the app except as permitted by law.

3. Your content

Glyph helps you capture and organize your own notes, images, and the text recognized from them ("Your Content"). Your Content belongs to you. Because Glyph stores and processes Your Content on your device, we do not access it, claim ownership of it, or use it for any purpose. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to capture and store it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Glyph lawfully and not to:

• Use the app to capture or store content you do not have the right to capture or store.
• Use the app to infringe the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the app or any related systems.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

5. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Glyph offers an optional subscription, which may begin with a free trial. The following terms apply:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price shown for your plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your device's App Store account settings.

Current pricing and trial length are shown in the app and on the App Store at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change for future billing periods, with notice where required.

6. Refunds

Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple, and refunds are subject to Apple's policies. We are not able to process App Store refunds directly. You may request a refund through Apple.

7. Third-party services

Glyph relies on services provided by Apple and by RevenueCat to deliver and manage subscriptions. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

8. Recognition accuracy

Glyph uses on-device recognition to convert handwriting and printed text into digital text. Recognition is not perfect and accuracy will vary with handwriting style, image quality, and language. You are responsible for checking recognized text against your original notes before relying on it. Glyph keeps your original image so you can verify the result.

9. Disclaimers

Glyph is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of inaccuracies.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Glyph. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Glyph at any time and may delete the app from your device. We may suspend or end your access to the app if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app. Your continued use of Glyph after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts located in the Netherlands, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
